Managing Director
Executive Director
Nina Tomažin Bolcar is a seasoned strategic communications specialist with more than two decades of leadership experience and an extensive track record of working with both domestic and international clients. As the founder and Managing Director of Propiar, she has successfully led the agency from its inception, delivering projects across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on crisis communications, corporate communications, and reputation management. She is recognised for her strategic thinking, high level of professionalism, and ability to connect people and ideas.
After graduating in architecture, she began her career as a Creative Director before continuing in one of the country’s largest media companies, where she led key communication projects. While working, she earned a Master of Science in Business from the University of Ljubljana’s School of Economics and Business, and was later invited to join the Executive MBA programme at Cotrugli Business School, which selected her as one of the six most promising young managers in Slovenia from among two hundred candidates.
A former elite volleyball player — competing in the 2nd Federal Yugoslav Volleyball League and as a member of the Slovenian cadet national team — she remains a dedicated recreational athlete. She is also an active member of professional and charitable organisations, devotes a significant part of her time to humanitarian work, and is a recipient of the Rotary Foundation’s Paul Harris Fellow recognition.
Anja brings over 15 years of experience in media, marketing, and strategic communications. She has collaborated with prestigious clients and won multiple professional awards. Her key area of expertise is crisis communication – where she helps navigate complexity, protect reputation, and lead through pressure.
Holding a Master’s in Strategic Communication, Anja combines expertise in corporate, product, internal communication, and CSR to tell stories that support business goals. As Executive Director, she guides Propiar’s growth and team development, ensuring that strong relationships are the foundation of strategic results.
She believes communication thrives where clear vision meets thoughtful execution, and where strategic depth aligns with creativity and precision. Open to new ideas and driven by solutions, Anja is quick to adapt and focused on outcomes.
