This Saturday, the Velenje city stadium will be full with team spirit as children from all over Slovenia will get together in the fourth Skaza’s charity Child to a Child run. By running on 400m, 750m or 2,000m trails, they will help their autistic peers under the aegis of many famous personalities. Among others, plenty of good spirit will be provided by a popular radio presenter and benefactor Miha Deželak, musicians Anabel and Trkaj, handball players of the Gorenje Velenje club and Pika Nogavička (Pippi Longstocking) club. Besides the charity and cooperation, the focus of this family event will be on sustainability and environmental concerns.
Besides going back to school, children can look forward to another special event in the first week of September. The event will be marked by the awarding of medals to all runners by Ana Praznik and Tinkara Fortuna, and the pleasant morning will be completed by various workshops and other activities, such as a prize draw, where participants will be able to receive special bikes assembled by employees of the Plastika Skaza company.
In line with Skaza’s mission and values, a significant emphasis will be on sustainable orientation and environmental care, as one of their goals is to generate as little waste as possible. Each runner will receive Skaza’s sustainable plate and a cup to point out this purpose, which can be used at the event.
