Telemach’s 100,000 stamps for a good cause
Happiness is not in receiving, but in giving. Post of Slovenia also participates in charity with a stamp charity surcharge for Slovenian Red Cross, enabling every individual to help those in need with a modest contribution. The idea was generously supported by Telemach, too.
Happiness is found in little things. We usually look for it in things we ourselves are blessed with, but it is very often found in helping others.
This is something the companies are more successful in when connected; therefore Slovenian Red Cross and Post of Slovenia concluded cooperation a little over a year ago. They together created a stamp with a charity surcharge of 0.17 EUR, and the sender can add it to a regular postage stamp and thus submit his contribution to Slovenian Red Cross.
Telemach also supported the charity gesture in the Red Cross week by adding a charity stamp to each postal item. With more than 100,000 letters sent in that week, Telemach contributed about 20,000 euro to the Slovenian Red Cross budget.
Telemach extends its commitment to corporate social responsibility this year in several areas of the company and launches projects aimed at the well-being of the environment the company operates in. There are workshops on safe use of Internet for primary school pupils, help for societies assisting people with neurological diseases and efforts for development and success of Slovenian sport through sponsorships of many top athletes and sports associations – basketball, Nordic, tennis and Ski Instructors/Trainers Association.
